Leaving a job because you hate "it" (the boss,the people, the work, etc.), is a bad move. You'll just be miserable without a paycheck vs. miserable WITH a paycheck. Leaving a job, to explore a burning business idea that consumes much of your waking and sleeping neural energy is a better move. I agree on the definition of Financial Freedom- to work and explore that which you truly want to do. To that end, a good litmus test is how often do you calculate the years to retirement? I've discovered those that love what they do don't ever want to retire (barring health reasons). I have a slightly different version of “the leaving a job” statement.
